Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated in a beautiful glen right off the N11 with easy access to the coast, the hills, and Dublin city. Although the location offers great opportunities for exploration, the hotel ambiance could be improved by updating certain areas and ensuring better cleanliness. Lavina & Chip provided exceptional care during our stay, adding a personal touch to our experience.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were lovely with great views but had some wood rot issues. The service was friendly and helpful, although there were some untidy corners in the room. The location was stunning, ideal for various activities. The dining was disorganized, which was a downside despite the fantastic food quality.
The hotel is situated in a quiet location but still close to Bray and Dublin, offering a bright atmosphere with windows along one side; however, there were some untidy corners that could have been improved. The service was a mix of friendly and helpful encounters with staff members providing a warm welcome and assistance. The dining options were satisfactory, although some meals seemed to have been prepared in advance. The rooms were disappointing, with shoddy conditions, including dated and damaged furniture, and lack of cleanliness and amenities. The location allows easy travel around Wicklow but falls short in terms of decor and overall atmosphere. The hotel offers basic facilities, but improvements are needed to enhance the guest experience.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while comfortable with great facilities, were a bit small, and some fixtures in the bathroom were outdated. The service, especially from the receptionists and night duty manager, was top-notch, but the lounge bar experience was a letdown. The location was very convenient for exploring the area, although some areas of the hotel could use a makeover. The dining experience varied, with some meals being delicious while others were disappointing.
Staying at this hotel was like a warm and relaxing experience, where cleanliness and homely vibes made mingling easy. The localized heating control would have been a nice addition, though.
The hotel room was nicely decorated and fresh, but unfortunately not soundproofed, leading to a lot of noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway. The view out the back overlooking dirty gutters was disappointing, although the room itself was clean. The bathroom fixtures were outdated and in poor condition, not justifying the high price paid.
